Personal and Commission Updates... and why does Wegmans hate Weebly?

Hi everyone. I would normally be posting some of this on the company website, Gamer's Pair O Dice, and some of this on here, but since the filter at Wegmans has decided that it hates my company site and blog I am forced to post it all on here. So, without any further a due, I have some interesting stuff for you.

Commission Work:
So, first of all I have a commission that is almost done and another waiting in the wings. The one that is almost finished is Mulg the Ancient. I have to simply add the tartan pattern to his loincloth and he is finished.

As you can see in this shot, Mulg has Strakhov in his hand and is sort of looking down at him. The rocks have had an extra layer of highlight added to them and the model, in person at least, has a very strong presence. I will be adding the tartan pattern to his loincloth tonight and then putting on the final clear coat and flocking his base.

After Mulg is finished I will be hopping straight into another troll project which I think I have covered on the Gamer's blog which is a Trollblood multi kit that has been magnetized but needs some touch up and rebuilding.
I will be including pictures of that as soon as I can as it is a "hot mess" and I think it will look spectacular once it is finished.

Personal Projects:
This has to be a large section of what I am doing right now. The Battletech miniatures for Historicon 2013 are on hold at the moment as I go on a Warmachine painting binge. Recently I acquired several models including Butcher 3, a Kodiak, a Conquest, a Gun Carriage, Battle Mechanik Officer, and a Devastator, Demolisher, Spriggan multi jack kit that I equipped as a Demolisher as I have 2 Devs and a Spriggan already.

The Gun Carraige and Kodiak

Horses, We don't need no stinkin' horses!
With the Gun Carriage I had been looking at it and realized that the model is pretty damn cool. I also noticed though that the Kodiak seemed to line up with it pretty well. I took a minute, shaved the point off the yoke, and came up with what you see to the left. The idea is that the Kodiak will actually be attached by a magnet, as will the horses. This will allow me the flexibility to have the Kodiak drawing the Gun Carriage behind it but also, if I really need to run 2 kodiaks, I can pull him off, put him on his own base, and mount the horses up. I think that this will make an interesting model on the tabletop and is something I haven't really seen online as usually the mods you see to the Gun Carriage is to convert it over to a steam powered tank. I also plan on drilling out the holes on the sides of the cannons and will hopefully have this painted up and finished before the end of the year. They will be done up in my 5th Border Legion colors.

The Rest of the Khadoran Horde

I have the reset of the models included in a video below. Everything is pretty basic. The Conquest is primed a ruddy brown as I plan to make him match the artwork as closely as possible. The Mechanic and the Demolisher are being done in the colors of the 5th Border Legion. I am up in the air on how to do Butcher. Part of me wants to make him and his Argi match the rest of the army, the other part of me though wishes to do them so that they are similar to the artwork for him. I will probably make up my mind soon, I hope. The video is below, after that I am including a "photo dump" of the minis so far for your enjoyment.

Until next time - CJ
